Tim Thompson – Super Easy Way to get Cheap Domains

Have you every wonder – “how am I going to register a domain without it costing me a fortune?” Well, this is a question I asked myself many times. I tried so many different services until I discovered one that really made it easy and was so cost effective to register a domain or website address.

This service is called Godaddy.com. Here, you can register a website address for as little as AUD$15.00 for a year. The great thing that I found for beginners on the internet, is that they offer 24/7 support, generally with a local phone number that you can call, without it costing you a fortune to call a United States number (if you are not in the US) to get help if you get stuck.

The other great thing, is that you have the opportunity to “redirect” or “forward” the website address that you have purchased to whatever website content you want. You can do this under the domain manager section of your Godaddy.com account. Here are 3 great ways you can use a new website address.

1. If you are buying a new website address that you will eventually setup a new website on, then while that it is happening, why not find an affiliate product on Clickbank.com that you can make money from.  Then create a Hoplink, copy the Hoplink into the forwarding section for your new website address in the domain manager of Godaddy.com and then start promoting this website address and making money from the affiliate product while you website is being completed.
2. You can register a website domain that you can use to direct people to specific promotional or campaign sections of your new website once it is setup.  Or even somewhere on your current website.  For example, I run regular internet marketing teleseminars, which I use a page under my Internet Marketing From Scratch.com website to promote.  To make it easy for people to remember the website to register for the teleseminar, I have registered the domain name www.jointeleseminarnow.com which I then used Godaddy.com domain forwarding to forward to the actual page.  So if you visit : www.internetmarketingfromscratch.com/teleseminar.html and www.jointeleseminarnow.com you will see they are exactly the same.  So you can use this in your marketing to easily get someone to your website offer as a call to action and direct them to the exact page you want them to see to take up your offer.
3. The most effective way to use your new domain, is for your actual website.  But I know many of you reading this will be starting from scratch in internet marketing and you may not have a website.  Well, if you have setup a blog with Blogger.com or WordPress.org.  You might have set these up to either be about yourself or even a particular ebook you want to sell.  You can then register a website address on Godaddy.com, use the forwarding function in the domain manager or contact their support to help you.  Then forward the website address to your blog, and turn on the masking.  That way no one visiting your website address will be any the wiser that it is in fact a blog.  Neat hey?
